Paula BoyerParish Secretary
Paula was born in Hartford Hospital, but lived in Bristol until August 1955 when her parents moved the family to New Britain to the house she now owns. She attended New Britain Public schools through graduation from Pulaski Senior High School in 1972. Upon graduation from Pulaski, she started working full time at Wilcox-Rau Chevrolette. She moved on to work for the Plainville Trust Company and continued in banking through 1991. She was hired as a parish secretary in July 1993.
Paula is a lifelong member of Saint Francis of Assisi Church. While she is not a charter member of the parish, she still remembers attending Sunday Masses in the Basement Church. The most vivid of those memories are of Fr. Brophy’s dog lying in the sanctuary during the Mass. She has served the parish in many capacities; as a religious education teacher for children preparing to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, a Lector and an active member of the Ladies’ Guild and the Fr. Brophy Golf Tournament Committee. Paula feels blessed to help usher our parish into our new mission of building a vibrant faith community and welcoming the students of CCSU into our parish family.
