Ivo Jáquez IIPLANT OPERATION MANAGER
Ivo is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, an active supporter of the Diocesan communities, who significantly contributes with his voluntarism and passion nationwide and abroad. He was born in 1967, in the Dominican Republic, where he completed his college education, got married, and then moved to Connecticut in 2004. Ivo and his family, his wife and two sons, deeply believe in helping others and give their time freely to the church and several organizations. Ivo strives to Develop and organize church ministry, community programs and has welcomed students from all around the world during summer programs for more than ten years.
In the Dominican Republic, Ivo worked as a foreign diplomat liaison with the UE and Latin American Embassies; as an Operation Supervisor for several airlines including: Pan American Airlines, Eastern Airlines, KLM, and Airlines Group (Star Alliance); for the Insurance industry in Latin America region including Pan American Life, Travel Guard, and AIG. Upon moving to the United States, Ivo has worked as a Plan Operation Supervisor for Church Homes Inc, and as a Field Agent for the Knights of Columbus. He has volunteered for the YMCA Greater Hartford, the Church community, and has traveled internationally to volunteer in the Caribbean and Central and South America. Ivo currently volunteers for Metro YMCA Greater Hartford as the Board of Director of the Global Initiatives Committee, Camp Woodstock as the Board of Director, Hartford Marathon Foundation, KofC Council XI Hartford as the Program Director, Greater Hartford Knights of Columbus Councils, Our Lady of High Grace “Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia” Solemn Mass Festivity State of Connecticut as a Chairperson, International Humanitarian Mission as the International Liaison and Coordinator.
